Gloria Miller is a Professor in the Department of Management and Marketing at Austin Peay State University's College of Business. She holds a Ph.D. in Management Science and Organizational Behavior from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee (2015), with a minor in Psychology. Prior to academia, she worked as a Human Resource Manager for over a decade before transitioning to teaching in 2012.
Her research focuses on cultural intelligence, cross-cultural mentoring, diversity and inclusion, work-family balance, and ethics in business. Notable projects include examining the impact of cultural and emotional intelligence on mentoring relationships, mitigating seasonal burnout in tax accountants, and fostering whistleblower activity for organizational integrity.
Publications span topics like CSR education effectiveness, plagiarism in international students, and small business formation barriers. Her work frequently integrates quantitative studies with practical organizational applications. Miller has also contributed to scholarly journals such as Journal of Business Ethics, Organizational Dynamics, and Journal of Management Development.
She actively engages in professional service, including reviewing manuscripts for academic journals and presenting at conferences on cultural competence and ethical leadership. Her teaching emphasizes real-world HR challenges and global business strategies.
