Gloria Isabel Bosch Roig

Dr. Gloria Isabel Bosch Roig is a Full Professor of German Philology at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), where she has taught German Language, Literature, and Culture since 2000. She serves as Coordinator of the German Department and teaches across multiple programs including Business Administration and Tourism, Economics and Tourism, English Studies, and Catalan and Spanish Language and Literature programs.

Her research focuses on:

• German Language Acquisition and Didactics
• Linguistic Needs Analysis
• Image of Mallorca in German Media
• German Travel Literature
• German Literature 1919-1945 with emphasis on Holocaust Literature

Dr. Bosch Roig has organized the First International Congress of Applied Languages to Tourism at UIB and co-edits a scientific monograph for Peter Lang. She researches for the Balearic Islands Government's R+D action 'Tourism and Media' and is affiliated with the Juan Andrés Institute of Comparative Studies and Globalization.

She has three recognized teaching periods and two research periods, and serves on the Board of the Faculty of Tourism at UIB while directing the 'Letras Alemanas' collection for Perelló Publishing House.
