Glenys Noble is a Senior Lecturer in Animal Nutrition at Charles Sturt University (CSU), within the School of Agricultural, Environmental and Veterinary Sciences. She holds a PhD in Equine Studies, an MBA, and certifications in university teaching. Her research focuses on equine science, pharmacokinetics of therapeutics, and livestock feed analysis, particularly industrial hemp. She collaborates with racing authorities globally to develop drug detection methods and has expertise in equine welfare and physiology.
Her teaching spans veterinary science, equine science, and animal pharmacology. Key research areas include forensic detection of growth hormones in horses, NSAID efficacy, and hemp biomass as livestock feed. She has conducted studies on drug excretion times and equine behavior, including objective reactivity measurements adopted by Temple Grandin. Recent work involves lipid and corticosteroid biomarkers in bisphosphonate studies and regulatory thresholds for veterinary drugs.
Awarded for contributions to horse welfare and racing integrity (2018), she has over 76 publications and 14 h-index. Her grants include studies on retired racehorse welfare and equine pharmacology. Supervised work includes clinical trials on magnesium supplementation and tryptophan effects on horse behavior.
