Glenn W. Most

Glenn W. Most is a distinguished scholar in Classics and comparative philology. He retired in 2020 as Professor of Greek Philology at the Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa. He currently holds a Visiting Professorship at the University of Chicago’s Committee on Social Thought and is an External Scientific Member of the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin.

His research spans ancient Greek literature, philosophy, and cultural studies, with a focus on comparative textual practices across global traditions. Key interests include the history of scholarship, textual criticism, and the intersection of philology with modern interdisciplinary approaches.
