Glenn Shafer

Glenn Shafer is a University Professor and Board of Governors Professor at Rutgers University, teaching in the Department of Accounting and Information Systems at the Rutgers Business School. He has been a university educator for 50 years, renowned for pioneering work on the Dempster-Shafer theory of evidence and co-developing the game-theoretic framework for probability. His research spans probability, statistics, causality, and finance, with notable contributions to foundational theories and applications in artificial intelligence and engineering.
