Glenda Insua

Glenda Insua is an Associate Professor and Reference and Liaison Librarian at the University of Illinois at Chicago's University Library. She holds a Master of Science in Information (MSI) from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, an MA from Ohio State University, and a BA from Denison University. Her work focuses on information literacy, academic library practices, and student research behaviors. She has served in multiple roles since 2010, including Assistant Professor and Coordinator positions, and has contributed to over a dozen peer-reviewed publications.

Her research interests include library instruction methodologies, interdisciplinary research practices, and the integration of technology in education. Notable projects include investigations into chat-based learning support, faculty-student collaboration, and the design of information literacy tutorials. She has secured grants such as the 2014 CARLI-funded study on first-year student research skills.

Glenda has been actively involved in university and professional service, including roles in diversity committees, library advisory groups, and academic outreach initiatives. Her contributions span curriculum development, citation management, and social media strategy for libraries.
