Glen Miller is Professor of Chemistry and Materials Science at the University of New Hampshire's College of Engineering and Physical Sciences. Formerly serving as Chemistry Department Chair and Director of the NSF Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center, he holds a PhD from Clarkson University.
Research Expertise: Focuses on nanoscale organic materials with specializations in:
- Fullerene and carbon nanotube chemistry
- Acene-based semiconductors
- Anti-aromatic compounds with minimal HOMO-LUMO gaps
- Field-Assisted Nanopatterning (FAN) techniques
Publication Focus: Recent works (2013-2024) emphasize synthetic routes to novel organic semiconductors, material stability under extreme conditions, and electronic property manipulation. Primary application areas include organic electronics and nanomanufacturing.
Educational Outreach: Directed K-16 nanotechnology programs including teacher conferences and REU/RET initiatives. Currently accepting graduate students into the Miller Group research program.
