Giuseppe Carabetta is an Associate Professor of employment law at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) Business School. His expertise spans employment law, workplace dispute resolution, and sports law. He previously held positions at the University of Sydney (2004–2022) and serves as a visiting scholar at the University of Bologna and guest presenter at Osgoode Hall Law School. His research focuses on police employment law, with significant influence on Australian and international legal frameworks. Carabetta has advised parliamentary inquiries and public sector bodies, and contributed to policy reforms through publications like Collective Bargaining for Police and Other Essential Services.
Education includes a PhD in Law (University of Sydney), Masters in Labour Law (University of Sydney), and a Bachelor's in Economics (Macquarie University). He holds a Senior Fellowship from the UK Higher Education Academy.
His awards include the National Office of Learning and Teaching Award (2012) and multiple teaching accolades. Research explores legal parameters of employer obligations, arbitration models in public sector disputes, and fair work practices.
