Giuseppe Attanasio

Giuseppe Attanasio is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações in Lisbon, Portugal, working under the Sardine group led by scientific director André Martins. His research focuses on AI interpretability, fairness, and safety. Previously, he collaborated with the MilaNLP group alongside Debora Nozza and Dirk Hovy.

Research Interests
Giuseppe investigates how societal biases manifest in AI systems and explores methods to measure and mitigate these biases. His work bridges technical challenges like model interpretability with ethical considerations in AI safety and fairness.

Projects
He developed DIY Voice Bot for voice transcription, co-founded the Italian computational linguistics community RiTA, contributed to the student team MALTO, and created the automated plant watering system Hypa.
