Giulio Olesen

Giulio Olesen is a Lecturer in Media at Bournemouth University, affiliated with the Faculty of Media and Communication. He is based at the Talbot Campus and contributes to both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in media and film studies.

His research focuses on Italian cinema, particularly the cultural and historical significance of exploitation and genre films such as the poliziottesco. Giulio Olesen completed his PhD at Bournemouth University in 2019, with a thesis analyzing the poliziottesco genre and news media seriality in 1970s Italy.
