Giulio Chiribella

Giulio Chiribella is a Professor and Associate Director (Research & Graduate Studies) at the School of Computing and Data Science, University of Hong Kong. He holds a PhD from the University of Pavia, Italy. His research focuses on quantum information theory, quantum networks, and the foundational aspects of quantum mechanics. Chiribella is a CIFAR-Azrieli Global Scholar and a Fellow of the National Virgilian Academy of Sciences. He also serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Physics A and the Standing Committee of the International Colloquia on Group Theoretical Methods in Physics.

His research explores quantum protocols, causal structures, and the interplay between quantum mechanics and information theory. Notable contributions include work on quantum superposition of causal orders and the replication of quantum operations at the Heisenberg limit. His publications span high-impact journals such as Physical Review Letters and Nature Communications.
