Giulia Giupponi

Giulia Giupponi is an Assistant Professor of Public Economics at Bocconi University's Department of Social and Political Sciences. She holds research affiliations with CEPR, IZA, the Institute for Fiscal Studies (IFS), and the Centre for Economic Performance (LSE). Previously, she was a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Institute for Fiscal Studies and earned her Ph.D. in Economics from the London School of Economics.

Her research focuses on Labor and Public Economics, examining the employment and welfare impacts of social insurance programs, minimum wage policies, and labor market inequalities. Key topics include labor hoarding during recessions, alternative work arrangements, and the design of effective labor market policies.
