Giulia Franciosa

Giulia Franciosa serves as an Assistant Professor at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research (CPR) within the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. She is part of the Olsen Group, led by Professor Jesper V. Olsen, and conducts cutting-edge research at the intersection of proteomics and cancer biology.

Her educational background includes a PhD in Molecular Medicine (2016), a Master's degree in Medical Biotechnology (2012), and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology (2009), all from the University of Rome La Sapienza.

Dr. Franciosa's research focuses on applying advanced proteomic techniques to understand cancer biology, with particular emphasis on ovarian cancer, colorectal cancer, T cell leukemia, and signaling pathways including Notch and EGFR. Her work bridges fundamental molecular mechanisms with clinical applications, developing proteomic approaches to study tumor heterogeneity, stemness, and treatment resistance.
