Giulia Cristoforetti

Giulia Cristoforetti is a Researcher (RTD-A) at the Interdepartmental Center for Mind/Brain Sciences (CIMEC) of the University of Trento, Italy, a position she has held since April 2025. Previously, she served as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at CIMEC from June 2023 to March 2025 under Prof. Roberto Bottini, following doctoral research at Ghent University supervised by Prof. Wim Fias and Prof. Steve Majerus.

Her research integrates cognitive neuroscience methodologies to investigate working memory serial order coding, attentional mechanisms in semantic processing, and eye movement patterns as cognitive indicators. She specializes in multivariate fMRI analysis of temporal-spatial-conceptual encoding and applies these techniques to educational neuroscience, particularly mathematical cognition and math anxiety. Her work bridges experimental psychology with clinical applications through advanced neuroimaging and behavioral paradigms.

She conducts research at the Interdepartmental Center for Mind/Brain Sciences (CIMEC), a multidisciplinary hub focusing on cognitive and brain science innovation where she leads neuroimaging studies and contributes to educational neuroscience initiatives.
