Gity Karami is Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Computer Science Department at UT Dallas' Erik Jonsson School of Engineering and Computer Science. Her research focuses on software engineering methodologies, particularly software reliability, data mining applications, and web system development.
Karami investigates web usage modeling, software testing frameworks, and HCI-task integration to enhance application reliability. Her work bridges theoretical computer science with practical software development challenges.
Courses taught include Web Programming Languages, Data Structures, Machine Learning, and Programming Paradigms. She coordinates undergraduate research initiatives and advises student organizations including Women in Cybersecurity and Women Who Compute.
