معرفی
Gisle Øye is a Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His research focuses on Colloid Chemistry and Interfacial Phenomena within Produced Water Management, Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), and Nanostructured Materials Synthesis.
- PhD from the University of Bergen (1999)
- Postdoctoral research at University of Durham (2000–2002)
- Joined Ugelstad Laboratory in 2002, promoted to Professor in 2009
His work explores colloidal interactions in oil-water systems, emphasizing microfluidic methods and surface chemistry for environmental and industrial applications. Recent publications highlight advancements in photocatalytic wastewater treatment, asphaltene-wax inhibition, and dynamic interfacial tension under extreme conditions. Collaborations span disciplines like Nanotechnology, Petrochemical Engineering, and Environmental Science.
Key contributions include optimizing Pickering emulsions for pollutant degradation and studying crude oil droplet coalescence in porous media. His team employs innovative techniques such as atomic force microscopy and lab-on-a-chip systems to address oil processing challenges.
