Gireesh Rajashekara

Gireesh Rajashekara serves as Associate Dean for Research and Advanced Studies and Professor in the Department of Pathobiology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's College of Veterinary Medicine. His work bridges veterinary pathology and global public health through pathogen-focused research on foodborne and zoonotic diseases.

Research interests center on gastrointestinal pathogens (particularly Campylobacter jejuni), probiotic interventions, and zoonotic disease transmission in poultry systems.
