Dr. Giovanni Tidona is a researcher at the Institute of Philosophy at the University of Koblenz-Landau, where he focuses on social ontology, phenomenology, and interdisciplinary philosophical applications. He holds a doctorate in practical philosophy from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (2013) and has extensive teaching experience at institutions including the Heidelberg University of Education (2016–2018). His research explores themes such as xenology, spatial theory, and the nexus of 'foreign/other' in cultural and social contexts. Currently, he is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Intercultural Studies (ZIS), Mainz, working on a new edition of Munasu Duala M'bedy's seminal work on xenology.
