Giovanni Stagliano' is an Associate Professor of Geometry at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Catania. He specializes in algebraic geometry with computational aspects, focusing on classification problems related to Cremona transformations and rationality questions of smooth projective varieties, including cubic fourfolds, Gushel-Mukai fourfolds, and complete intersections of three quadrics in P^7. His work also addresses tensor rank in real algebraic geometry and algorithmic implementations for resultants, discriminants, and hyperdeterminants.
