Giovanni Camardese

Giovanni Camardese is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Link Campus University in Rome. He holds a Medical Degree (1997, 110/110 cum laude) and specialization in Psychiatry (2001, 50/50 cum laude), with additional training as a Psychotherapist (2001). Previously, he served as a confirmed university researcher and Aggregate Professor of Psychiatry, Clinical Psychology, and Neuropsychopharmacology at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore. He is Medical Director at the Day Hospital of Clinical Psychiatry at Policlinico "A. Gemelli" and leads the Depressive Disorders Area (over 13,000 patients in 20 years) and the Psychogastroenterology Area at the Centre for Diseases of the Digestive System.

His research focuses on mood disorder neurobiology, including dopaminergic synapse imaging, immune-inflammatory pathways, microbiota-brain axis, and chronotherapies.
