Giovanna Felis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Università degli Studi di Verona. Her academic sector is AGRI-08/A - Agricultural, Food and Environmental Microbiology, with research focusing on microbial biotechnology and food sciences.

Professor Felis serves in various institutional roles, including as Chair of the AQ Commission for Third Mission and as Deputy PhD coordinator for the PhD in Smart Agrifood Sciences.
