Giorgia Dona is Professor at the University of East London's Business and Law school, specializing in forced migration, refugee studies, and decolonial approaches to displacement. Her research examines asylum systems in Italy, France and the UK, digital equity in humanitarian contexts, and psychosocial impacts on displaced youth.
Recent work explores carceral aspects of asylum accommodation, mental health outcomes for young migrants in Iceland, and the emotional labor of digital service provision. She critically engages with technologies of border governance while advocating for ethical participatory research with displaced communities.
