Gina Ruggeri is a Lecturer in Art at Vassar College since 1996. She earned her MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Yale School of Art (1996) and BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art (1992, summa cum laude). Her practice spans drawing, painting, and printmaking within contemporary visual arts.

Her research explores contemporary painting on cloth, site-specific installations, and visual language through solo and group exhibitions. Notable solo venues include Nancy Margolis Gallery, Aldrich Museum, and Kevin Bruk Gallery. Her work has been featured in group shows at Hudson Valley Museum of Contemporary Art, Ely Center of Contemporary Art, and Queens Museum of Art.
Her articles include critical reviews in Hyperallergic and catalogs for exhibitions at Nancy Margolis Gallery, Sharpe-Walentas Foundation, and Lower East Side Printshop. Awards include a 2021 MacDowell Residency, 2010 Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant, and fellowships at Yaddo, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and Jentel.
