Gina Milgate is a Research Fellow in Indigenous Education at the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). She holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Graduate Diploma of Business Studies, and Certificate of Higher Education from the University of New England (UNE). Previously, she served as a lecturer in the UNE Business School and assumed leadership roles in Duval College, including Senior Resident (RF) and JCR Treasurer. Her research focuses on empowering Indigenous communities through educational policies, reconciliation initiatives, and community partnerships. She actively contributes to national policy advising and hosts workshops like the Indigenous Leadership Program for women in early childhood education.

Grants & Advising: Gina advises on national reconciliation policies and presents at international conferences. She leads ACER’s initiatives to strengthen Indigenous education frameworks, with a focus on empowering women in early childhood pedagogy.
Labs/Teams: Collaborates within ACER’s Indigenous Education Research Unit and engages with global networks to advance culturally responsive education practices.
