Gilson Lomboy

Gilson Lomboy is an Associate Professor and Undergraduate Program Coordinator in the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Rowan University's Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. from Iowa State University, D.Eng. from the Asian Institute of Technology, and degrees from Mapua Institute of Technology.

His research focuses on sustainability, green construction, and concrete technology, with expertise in concrete durability, nanotechnology, and special concretes like self-consolidating and ultra-high-performance types. Projects include 3D printing of cementitious pastes, bio-cementation, and cold-weather concrete applications.

Recent publications explore topics like concrete demolition, conductive concrete curing, and material behavior in extreme conditions. Awards include the 2012 Iowa State Teaching Excellence Award and 2011 Road Scholar Program Fellowship.

His work integrates digital engineering and sustainable practices to address infrastructure challenges. Research clinics and collaborations highlight applied engineering solutions for transportation and environmental systems.
