Gillian Einstein

Gillian Einstein is an Associate Professor of Psychology and Public Health at the University of Toronto, specializing in the intersection of reproductive biology, neuroscience, and cultural influences on women's health.

Education:

• PhD in Visual Neuroanatomy from the University of Pennsylvania

Her research investigates how reproductive system alterations impact brain function and overall biology, with particular focus on estrogen effects and cultural determinants of women's health outcomes. Current work examines cognitive and neural changes in young women following premenopausal oophorectomy, addressing the fundamental question of how localized bodily changes propagate through the central nervous system and environmental interactions.
