Gillian Caughey

Professor Gillian Caughey is a Research Professor at the University of South Australia and Associate Director of the Registry of Senior Australians (ROSA) at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute. She holds a PhD from the University of Adelaide and focuses on medicines safety, aged care quality, and outcomes for older populations with multimorbidity and polypharmacy. Her work leverages ROSA, a national data-platform analyzing over 3.2 million aged care users. She has secured major grants including a $2.99M MRFF grant (2024–2028) for national aged care data infrastructure and a $2.89M NHMRC Investigator Grant for real-world data analysis.

Research interests include pharmacoepldemiology, aged care staffing impacts, and quality improvement.
