Gilles R. MAURAIS

Gilles R. MAURAIS is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Montreal, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and the Department of Surgery. His research focuses on orthopedics, spinal cord injury, and musculoskeletal disorders.

Research Affiliations: Member of the CIUSSS NIM (Centre de recherche du CIUSSS Nord-de-l'île-de-Montréal) and affiliated with the CIUSSS du Nord-de-l'Île-de-Montréal – Hôpital du Sacré-Cœur de Montréal (HSCM).

He contributed to the MINOCYCLINE IN ACUTE SPINAL CORD INJURY (MASC) project (2013–2017) as a co-researcher under lead Stefan Parent, funded by the Institut Rick Hansen. His areas of expertise include arthritis, bone diseases, musculoskeletal deformation, trauma/injuries, and locomotor activity.
