Dr. Gilbert Bert L. Peterson is a Professor of Computer Science at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). He holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington, along with a B.S. in Architecture.

Dr. Peterson's publications cover topics including malware analysis, nuclear detonation video processing, distributed simulation environments, and steganography detection. He has contributed extensively to digital forensics literature through journals and conference proceedings.
