معرفی
Giannino Del Sal is a Full Professor at the Department of Life Sciences, University of Trieste. He is a key member of the "Signal transduction in basic and clinical oncology" research group, focusing on molecular oncology and biomedicine. His research explores mutant p53 gain-of-function mechanisms, DAB2IP tumor suppressor inactivation, and interactions between cancer cells and their microenvironment.
- Principal Investigator for research projects including "National Center for Gene Therapy and Drug Based on RNA Technology"
- Active participant in doctoral program boards for Molecular Biomedicine (Cycles XXXVI-XXXIX)
- Co-author on 15 recent publications (2008-2024) addressing cancer signaling, p53 mutations, and therapeutic implications
His work spans from fundamental p53 network studies in Drosophila to translational research on chemotherapy resistance and microRNA-mediated tumor-stroma crosstalk. Notable collaborations include research on mutant p53's impact in breast cancer development under hyperinsulinemic conditions and ER stress modulation through ATF6 pathways.
