His research focuses on agent-based computational modeling of social mechanisms linking micro-level interactions to macroscopic outcomes, including educational inequality, status hierarchies, technological diffusion, and virus propagation. He integrates statistical analysis, social network analysis, and causal inference techniques in his work.

His articles frequently examine how generative models can explain complex social phenomena through mechanism-based reasoning.
