Gian Luca Gregori

Gian Luca Gregori has been a Professor of Roman Antiquities at Sapienza University of Rome since 2006. Previously, he held roles as Extraordinarius Professor (2003-2006) and Associate Professor of Roman Epigraphy and Antiquities (1992-2003). As a distinguished scholar in Latin epigraphy and Roman history, his research spans social history, archaeology, onomastics, and topography of the Roman world. He has held leadership positions including Department Head of Scienze dell’Antichità (2010-2012) and conducted academic stays at the University of Helsinki and Heidelberg.
