Giacomo Candian is an Associate Professor of Economics at HEC Montréal and a Research Professor in Macroeconomics and International Finance at CIRANO. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Boston College, alongside advanced degrees from the University of Bologna and the University of Padova. His research focuses on Macroeconomics, International Macroeconomics and Finance, and Monetary Economics, with an emphasis on exchange rate dynamics, central bank policies, and financial frictions.
