Gheorghe Doros is a Professor of Biostatistics at the Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH) and Director of the Biostatistics Consulting Group. His career bridges academia and industry, with prior roles at Eli Lilly's Drug Discovery and Toxicology department.
Dr. Doros holds a PhD in Statistics from Yale University and has been affiliated with Boston University since 2006. His research focuses on methodological approaches in clinical trials, particularly Bayesian statistics and placebo response analysis, with significant contributions to trial design, data monitoring, and cross-institutional collaborations.
His work has led to federally funded grants and over 277 peer-reviewed publications, often as the lead statistician. Key areas include
