Gesine Fuchs

Gesine Fuchs holds dual academic appointments as a Privatdozentin (Private Lecturer) at the University of Münster's Institute of Political Science and as a Lecturer/Project Manager at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (School of Social Work, Institute for Social Management, Social Policy and Prevention). She obtained her Diplom in Political Science from the University of Hamburg (1994) and doctorate from Universität Basel (2002), followed by a Habilitation at Münster (2017).

Her research examines political participation dynamics, gender representation mechanisms, and social movement strategies, with geographical expertise in Eastern European transformations. Key research domains include:
