Gerson Moreno-Riaño

Gerson Moreno-Riaño serves as the 12th President of Cornerstone University, leading its strategic direction in Christian higher education. Previously, he held roles as Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer at Regent University, where he also served as a tenured professor of government. Born in Colombia, he holds degrees from Cedarville University (B.A.) and the University of Cincinnati (M.A., Ph.D.).

His research focuses on the history of political philosophy, political theology, and government, with notable contributions to medieval political thought and modern democratic theory. He has authored six books, including analyses of Marsilius of Padua and studies on political tolerance and internet democracy.
