Gergana Boncheva Nenova

Prof. Gergana Boncheva Nenova, PhD, DSc is a leading academic and practicing kinesitherapist at the Medical University - Varna, specializing in post-surgical rehabilitation and public health integration of physiotherapy. Since 2021, she has served as Head of the Department of Kinesitherapy within the Faculty of Public Health, while maintaining clinical roles at the Clinic of Orthopedics and Traumatology at UMHAT St. Marina - Varna. Her career spans academic leadership, clinical practice, and international collaboration through programs like Erasmus+.

• Education: Bachelor’s and Master’s in Kinesitherapy (University of Ruse, 1999), Master’s in Health Management (Medical University - Varna, 2014), Doctor of Sciences in Kinesitherapy (2020).

Her research focuses on Kinesitherapy applications in Orthopedics, Traumatology, and Integrative Care, emphasizing post-hip replacement protocols, chronic disease management, and resort-based rehabilitation.
