Dr. Gerardo Chacón is a Professor of Mathematics at Gallaudet University, affiliated with the Science, Technology, Accessibility, Mathematics, and Public Health school. With eight years of teaching experience, he specializes in fundamental mathematics areas like Complex Analysis and Operator Theory, while also engaging in interdisciplinary work in Data Science and Resource Allocation. He holds a Master's in Data Science and has contributed to curriculum development, including co-creating the Data Science minor at Gallaudet.
His academic service includes roles in the Faculty Senate, Faculty Development Committee (where he served as Chair), and various search committees for mathematics positions. He has presented research at major mathematics conferences and secured funding from the National Science Foundation and Simons Foundation.
