Gerardo Canul

Dr. Gerardo Canul is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Applied Clinical Psychology at The Chicago School's College of Graduate and Professional Studies. He is based in the Anaheim, CA campus and contributes to both academic and community initiatives.

• M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, Washington State University

His research focuses on non-traditional interventions in Latina/o/x mental health, particularly using imagery to facilitate emotional expression. Areas of expertise include child and adolescent psychology, cultural issues, emotional health, and forensic psychology, with a strong emphasis on community engagement and diversity.

Dr. Canul is actively involved in The Chicago School's Latino Mental Health Initiative, fostering community relationships that provide service opportunities for students. He also offers mental health and consulting services in Southern California, integrating practical and theoretical knowledge into his teaching.
