Gerard Torrats-Espinosa

Gerard Torrats-Espinosa is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Columbia University's Faculty of Arts and Sciences, affiliated with the Data Science Institute (DSI). His research focuses on the intersection of urban sociology, social stratification, and criminology, examining how spatial organization perpetuates inequalities through neighborhood contexts, community violence, and social capital dynamics.
