Gerard Tobin serves as an Associate Professor in the Psychology Department at Mercyhurst University, where he has taught since joining the faculty in 2013 after holding leadership roles as Director of the Counseling Center (1998-2006) and Vice President for Student Life (2006-2013). He additionally teaches Organizational Communication in the Graduate School's Organizational Leadership program and contributes to institutional assessment through the Assessment and Planning Office.
His research centers on counseling psychology and insight-oriented practices designed to optimize college student development and self-actualization, with applied expertise in organizational leadership frameworks.
