Gerard Kerins

Gerard Kerins is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Yale School of Medicine, where he serves as Program Director for the Clinical Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine. His academic and clinical roles focus on advancing geriatric care and perioperative pain management.

• Education: MD from New York Medical College (Fifth Pathway, 1986) and Universidad del Noreste (1986), MPA (1981), and BA (1979) from New York University.

Research Interests: Dr. Kerins investigates the clinical implications of epidural analgesia in postoperative care, particularly its association with hospital length of stay in geriatric populations. His work bridges Pain Management, Anesthesiology, and Clinical Research to improve outcomes for elderly patients undergoing surgery.
