Gerard Gormley is a Clinical Professor at Queen’s University Belfast, leading the Clinical Skills Education Centre (CSEC) within the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences. His expertise lies in simulation-based education and clinical skills training for healthcare professionals. He champions integrating compassionate care into simulation practices to preserve patient-centered values in medical education. His research focuses on three key areas: pedagogical insights in simulation, expanding simulation applications to mental healthcare and general practice, and maintaining humanistic aspects in simulation-driven learning.
