Gerard George

Gerard George is a Visiting Professor of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at the Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University. He previously served as Dean of LKCSB (2015-2021), Deputy Dean at Imperial College London (2007-2014), and held academic roles at London Business School. His research focuses on strategic knowledge, innovation ecosystems, inclusive growth, and sustainable entrepreneurship. He earned his Ph.D. in Management from Virginia Commonwealth University and master’s degrees in Management and Biological Sciences from India’s Birla Institute of Technology.

George’s research explores how organizations innovate under resource constraints, leveraging networks and partnerships. Key themes include knowledge recombination in inventor networks, digital sustainability solutions, and inclusive innovation models for marginalized communities. He co-edited the Handbook of Inclusive Innovation and authored influential works on business model design and natural resource management strategies.

His recent publications address topics like CEO influence on R&D strategies and the capacity for innovation in organizations. He advises doctoral candidates such as Dale John COOK and maintains active collaboration with institutions across Asia and Europe. George’s work bridges academic rigor with practical applications in global business challenges.
