Geraldine Cannon Becker is a Professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Maine at Fort Kent (UMFK), where she has taught since 2004. She holds a BA in English/Education (1991, Winthrop University), an MFA in Creative Writing (1998, University of Arkansas), and an MA in Depth Psychology (2014, Pacifica Graduate Institute). Her research focuses on Jungian archetypes, transformative language arts, literacy advocacy, and environmental stewardship. She edits the Aroostook Review and LIFE Review/Rural U Writing Project, and leads initiatives like SoulFlowering Workshops and Rape Culture Awareness programs. She has received the UMFK Foundation Research Award (2009) for her work in literacy and community engagement.
