Gerald Porter

Gerald Porter is a Lecturer in Economics at the College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH) at Northeastern University. With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, he has served as an institutional trader of options and equities, and a capital markets expert. He is also a seasoned public speaker and lecturer on trading, macroeconomics, and capital markets.

• Education: MBA from Babson College

His teaching spans undergraduate and graduate-level economics and finance courses, combining practical industry insights with academic rigor. Beyond academia, Porter is an accomplished athlete, having completed over 80 triathlons, three marathons, and numerous other races.
