Gerald Korngold is Trustee Professor of Law and Director of the Center for Real Estate Studies at New York Law School. His research examines property law systems, land use regulations, and privatization of public governance through common interest communities.
Research focuses on conservation easements, land value capture mechanisms, and regulatory approaches to real estate transactions. Recent work addresses reforming exclusionary zoning and restrictive covenants to promote equitable housing development.
As academic fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, he contributes to property law reform initiatives. Teaching includes Property, Advanced Real Estate Transactions, and Conservation Law Clinic.
