Gerald Juhnke is a Professor and Interim Chair of the Department of Counseling at the College of Education and Human Development, The University of Texas at San Antonio. With over 100 publications and 13 textbooks, his expertise spans suicide assessment, addictions, family therapy, bullying, and life-balance tools. He founded UTSA's Counseling Doctoral Program and previously served as Graduate School Associate Dean.

Recent publications highlight trends in work addiction among entrepreneurs, NCAA staff, and African Americans, alongside suicide prevention strategies in rural Colombia and school violence mitigation. He has secured grants for violence reduction in DC schools and campus alcohol initiatives.
