Georgiou Andreas is a Professor in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Macedonia, directing the Master in Business Administration program and serving as academic staff for the Master in Information Systems and Master in Business Analytics and Data Science programs.
He earned his B.Sc. in Mathematics (1984) and Doctorate in Operations Research (1989) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
His research spans Quantitative Methods in Business Analytics, stochastic modeling, Machine Learning for Operations, Healthcare Simulation, and Multiple Criteria Optimization including AHP and DEA efficiency evaluation. He applies these techniques to solve complex business problems in operations management, marketing, and healthcare decision-making.
Professor Georgiou teaches graduate courses including Operations Research, Decision Analysis and Optimization, Simulation Techniques in Business Analytics, and Quantitative Analysis for Business Decisions across multiple programs. With an extensive publication record of 13 books, 36 journal articles, 50 conference papers, and 41 other scholarly works, he actively mentors students in the graduate programs he directs.
