Georgios Glouftsios is Research Fellow at the School of International Studies, University of Trento. His research examines border security infrastructures, database interoperability, and biometric governance in European security integration. Recent work analyzes risk assessment in EU customs security and secrecy practices in border enforcement operations.
Research Themes: Infrastructural politics of border control; technological governance of migration; performativity of secrecy in security practices; biometric identification systems; and EU security data integration.
